Yves Saint Laurent? Top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow Review

November 19, 2016

So I was walking around Tangs to do some birthday presents shopping and maybe check out some new Christmas collections (MAC Nutcracker anyone?) when I was approached by this very friendly sales person from surprise surprise, Yves Saint Laurent, which is surprising because normally their staff tends to be a little haughty or they will constantly follow you around which I really don't like.

So she was persuasive enough till I left with the Touche Eclat and the star of today's post.

YSL Top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow (S$70+)

This is a primer for dry/dehydrated skin that promises 72 hours of hydration packed in each bead sized application for your face.
The hydration part was the key motivation for me kinda.

Other claims:

“Top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow has an ultra-sensorial texture that durably hydrates the feel of skin and carries the blurring technology of an invisible foundation. Within seconds, skin adopts the feel of softness of satin” – Lloyd Simmonds, Create Director YSL Beaute

Applied all over the face before make-up, Instant Moisture Glow instantly hydrates the feeling of skin and locks in moisture. Applied throughout the day, it offers a burst of hydration on-the-go to leave the skin looking radiant.

One streamlined product for the woman that wants it all and has no time to wait.

Well, so did YSL succeed?

Hell yeah.

Just look

Face:
 Liphops sunscreen
YSL primer
Nars sheer glow
Skindinavia Setting Spray

No touching up of the photo no nothing, I didn't even change the saturation or temperature.
Holy shit.

My skin looks photoshopped hah.

Props to YSL, my under-eye concealer didn't crease throughout and the smile line creases were much more lessened.

For lasting power.. I don't touch up at all, I'm lazy as hell, so this lasted slightly longer than without a primer but the primer makes your base looks smooth and quoting YSL, "blurred" and it prevents your foundation from separating so even if it fades, it fades extremely nicely, something I never thought I would say.

It makes my face look more radiant and like.. i've got happy skin.
One more thing, this does contain silicon, but it doesn't have the same effect as smashbox's primer which is too.. silicon-y for me, which I don't like and it separates my foundation,

Will I repurchase?
Yes, even with that price tag.
Bye wallet.
